hi all,
does anyone know where on earth I can buy a backwinder? Or which I should try to buy, the Craven or Ewa one?
I've looked on ebay and can't find any.

Maybe until you find one, you could manually backwind. Sounds risky to me, but the process is described in a couple of different places (one of which is Mike Brantley's site):

And then again, you might be in luck. Both Craven and EWA backwinders are available here:
